  Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. The Federal Government on Monday said it was against the resumption of schools on January 18. At the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said the Federal Government did not agree with the states on the resumption date. Nigeria's House of Representatives Demands Swift Action to Rescue Abducted Medical Students

 The House of Representatives has expressed deep concern over the abduction of 20 medical students in Benue State, Nigeria, and is urging swift intervention from security agencies. The students, comprising 12 from the University of Jos and eight from the University of Maiduguri, were kidnapped on August 15, 2024, while traveling to a conference in Enugu.
